Greetings from District Six! My name is Linda Sherfick, and I teach art at Shoals Junior-Senior High School. I am your district representative, and hope to meet or contact each of you in the months ahead. District Six includes Crawford, Daviess, Dubois, Gibson, Knox, Lawrence, Martin, Orange, Perry, Pike, Posey, Spencer, Vanderburgh, and Warrick Counties. These counties are home to thirty-eight public school districts. Currently, District Six has thirty-one members, which represent the following areas: Student  Members                   4 Elementary                              9 Middle/Junior High                  6 Secondary                                9 Higher Education                     2 Administrative/Supervision     1   As many of us are involved at more than one level, some divisions overlap. Again, I look forward to working with you during the 2010-2011 school year. Please make plans now to attend the AEAI Convention in Fort Wayne, November 4-6. This is an incredible opportunity to network with art educators from around the state. Don’t miss our district workshop on Friday morning, at 8:00am. We’ll be making coil baskets with yarn.
