St. Mary's Summer Art Teacher Retreat 2010

Trish and Kevin will be traveling to St. Mary of the Woods College for a Summer Art Educators Retreat on July 12 - 15. Last summer was great fun as we learned more about batik, discharge, and shibori dye processes from Saint Joseph's College Art Professor, Bonnie Zimmer. We also created characters in the style of Dee Schaad, an art professor with the University of Indianapolis.

This year Trish and Kevin will be presenting a workshop on Felted Vessels. Trish has extensive experience with wet feltings techniques. We plan to create wool felted vessels and experiment with beading and stitching to embellish the art works.
