Rebecca Coffman, Ceramics Teapot Exchange Looking for new ideas, forms, approaches to design? This workshop will explore a spontaneous approach to the creative process. Everyone will create teapot “parts” (bodies/lids, spouts, handles, knobs, feet, etc.) using whatever techniques (thrown or hand-built) they wish. Students will exchange parts to discover new shape possibilities, proportional relationships and potential of the subconscious as a source of information. |

Jim Williams, Paste Papers Paste paper, which was produced starting in the late sixteenth century, and was often used as a decorative component in the end papers of books. Today these papers can be used in a variety of ways. In this workshop you will learn traditional patterns and create 3 sheets of paste paper to take home. |

An introductory PowerPoint will provide information on the form and approaches to drawing the eyes and nose, and then participants will begin working on their own drawings for the remainder of the workshop. |
