About AEAI

The Art Education Association of Indiana (AEAI) is the professional organization dedicated to promotion, advancement, and improvement of art education at all levels in the state of Indiana. AEAI's purposes are to increase public awareness, develop strategies for statewide advocacy, inform membership on current issues and political action, recognize outstanding performance and programs statewide, and assist the State Department of Education in development and implementation of curriculum materials.

The AEAI aims to:

  1. Unite, Support and Encourage Art Educators
  2. Advocate the importance of Art Education
  3. Provide for professional growth of Art Educators
  4. Collaborate with the Arts and Education Community

AEAI provides professional and social interaction with art minded peers. Members serve on task forces and committees and make policies that determine the direction of art education statewide. Members collaborate with other arts organizations in promoting art education. Through the annual state conference and area forums and workshops, members share ideas and experience self-renewal. Featured are local and national speakers, informative workshops, commercial exhibits, and art tours. Members have the opportunity to attend the National Convention and meet policy makers and national leaders in art education.
