I’m excited to be representing district 5 along with my colleagues! I love networking, meeting other art educators, and learning innovative methods for my classroom through AEAI. I attended Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and graduated with my bachelor’s degree in 2008. I have taught elementary art in Mooresville for 11 years. I love any and all kinds of painting, printmaking, drawing and have recently found a love for fiber arts.
"I am so happy to be a part of the District 5 Rep Trio! I look forward to meeting other art teachers within our district, learning from one another, and being a voice of support for our area. I graduated with my Bachelors from the University of Indianapolis in 2009, and earned my Masters from The Academy of Art, in San Francisco in 2017. I loved the experience of learning and teaching out in the Bay Area. But I am so glad to be back home in Indiana, bringing that experience to my elementary students in Mooresville. I have had an "interesting" road for teaching experience, but I cannot see myself doing anything else in life and love what I do! I can't wait to make District 5 a strong presence within AEAI, and please do not hesitate to reach out!
“I am thrilled to be a part of the district 5 board with my remarkable colleagues! I love being inspired by other art teachers and can’t wait to do so through AEAI. I attended Purdue University where I have a double major in Fine Arts and Art Education. I have had the pleasure of teaching at two different elementary schools within the Mooresville Consolidated School district since 2007. It has been a bumpy road but my experiences throughout the years have made me stronger and grateful for what I have. I am blessed to work in a district with other phenomenal art teachers that push me to do my best. Please feel free to reach out at any time and stay tuned for upcoming district 5 meet-ups!”
